At 38 Studios, I led the effort to define the art style and visual identity for a new IP. Our goal was to create living, breathing world that felt as if a single artist painted it. Each environment told its own story, revealing the cultures, creatures, and histories that shaped it, guiding players emotionally and visually through their journey.

I partnered with the Game Director, General Manager, and other studio leadership to set the creative vision, quality standards, and production milestones that defined our Environments. I built clear visual frameworks and documented style guidelines that unified the studio around our artistic principles. This alignment helped the team quickly refine the world’s look and maintain visual cohesion across every zone and discipline.

As Art Director, I built and led a team of 46 artists with craft expertise spanning environment art, lighting, concept art, VFX, and technical art. Together we developed pipelines, training programs, and feedback systems that fostered growth, collaboration, and creative excellence. Regular reviews, open communication, and dedicated exploration time kept the work inspired and the vision consistent.

This portfolio showcases a selection of the work my team created at 38 Studios. It reflects the craft, collaboration, and dedication that went into building a cohesive and immersive world. Although the studio closed before launch, I remain proud of what we achieved and of the world we brought to life together.
